We are so happy to offer our latest project as a tool for therapists, Addiction Recovery group leaders, counselors, facilitators, and rehab facilities. The science behind this work is solid and tremendously helpful for those of us who work in this field or suffer in these sorrows. When an addict sees a sample picture of an addicted brain, the first response is often, “Oh, that’s why I can’t stop even though I desperately want to! I’m not an evil person, I just need help.” Addiction sculpts the brain, changing its physical structure and the normal function of neurotransmitters, causing chaos, dysfunction, and loss of agency. The good news is that proper recovery efforts will sculpt the brain back to functional health!
